joeray9 asked:
Hello, my host has asked me to update the name server ips to
76.76.15.167
76.76.15.168
I have had my name servers set to: ns1&ns2.reseller-webhosting.co.uk and they have worked fine until the new server transfer. My registar is namecheap.com and Im confused as how to update them?

If you are using a router, you will need toupdate the name server in the router (might be under DNS)
If you are using a modem, you need to open network connection, right click on the modem, select properties, then scroll down to TCP/IP and select properties. Where it says “obtain a DNS server automatically” change this to manual, and enter the IP addresses in there.
Note that this second option will also work if you are using a router but would need to be repeated for any pcs or laptops using the router. Make a note of your old settings in case it goes wrong.
I don’t have any special knowledge of namecheap.com, but I went to their site and clicked on “help”, near the top of the window, which took me to the kb.show window named below. That shows a list of articles. The first link under Popular Articles takes you to a demo of how to make a DNS change, although they ask you not to use numeric addresses like the ones you have, so you might ask your provider for symbolic names.
Not sure that’s what you wanted to know, but I hope it helps.
